Welcome to my write only blog. Honestly I am surprised you are even reading this. I have been writing in various blogs for 20+ years now, and I am increasingly writing for myself and no one else.

I am a former academic. Long ago, I had to travel far to find a committee gullible enough to grant me a PhD. Then I worked in Universities in three different continents using those credentials.
Later, I managed to finagle my way into the industry and have worked in various data/security roles. I like securing tightly regulated companies these days. My role turned from a highly technical one to a diplomatic one over the years, these days I do more negotiation and education than configuration.
When I am not at work, I am a part-time parent. In the rare moments I have left, I consume my fair share of sci-fi and fantasy, or attempt to hike until my legs give out. Or I drag my neighbors into board games, make nerdy stuff—small electronics, posters, and the occasional purity seal (There is a reason my fridge lasted as long as it did).
