Scholars at Risk – Academics for Peace Campaign

In 2016, I signed a petition in the hopes that our voices as academics would bring peace to my country. The Turkish government labeled me and the other signatories as traitors and have been working hard to quash our voices.

Many of my colleagues have lost their jobs and others were jailed. Now the campaign to quash dissent has taken a new turn as the government has started issuing indictments to the signatories.

Difficult times like this reveals true friends. The Scholars at Risk has started a letter campaign to support our cause.
