Security+ Certified

So about a month ago, I decided it was time to get certified. I had been doing this work, and teaching this content for some years now and thought a certificate would be a good way to demonstrate the skills to potential employers.

I registered for the security+ exam and got the bundle with 2 exams, an e-book, and one practice test. I must say this about comptia’s own prep materials: they are not good. Especially the practice questions are poorly worded, sometimes with obvious editing issues. I was a bit worried that, that was also how the real exam was going to be…

Luckily, the real exam was much better than the practice materials. The questions were unambiguous. Clear in language and intent. So if you find yourself confused with questions from Comptia in practice materials, don’t worry. The real thing is much better.
